Jacques Dady Jean, a Bay State
School Of Technology and Wentworth Institute of Technology graduate, was born on the island of Haiti in 1962. At age
25, he began a career as a teacher in a community trade school and moved fast to
become the president of the Christian Cooperative Education Center.
He is now the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Town Computer
Advanced Technical Service.
Jacques founded the company in Mattapan, a
small, predominantly black neighborhood of
Boston in 1998, with less than $2,000 and a
clear vision : to make technology more
convenient and affordable to blue-collar
workers, home-based and small business owners. |

Town Computer now serves nearly 85,000 customers
including nearly 450 home-based and small
business customers nation-wide with 23 full-time
employees and 123 part-time employees and local
student interns.
Town Computer has been recognized three years in a row by the Boston
Business Journal as among the top 25 in computer sales in Massachusetts,
this past year landing among the top 15.Jacques Dady Jean, assisted
by his lovely wife Karrie Ann, has led the company to an overwhelming
success.

Engineer Jacques Dady Jean
has received several awards and citations from government officials as
well as professional and private organizations.
Jacques is a visionary entrepreneur.
In
Haiti, he attended Saint Trinity Professional School Margaret W. Strong, Ecole National des Arts in France, Bay State School of Technology
in Canton MA, Boston University and Wentworth Institute of Technology
in Boston. Jacques has degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering and Project Management.
Jacques
speaks fluent French and English, and has authored numerous newspaper
articles on technology and community issues.
Jacques also co-hosts a weekly
radio show with his wife Karrie Ann airing on WNTN 1550 AM in Newton, MA. He has developed a
business model that revolutionized the home-based business.
Jacques’ entrepreneurial story and his customer- oriented
business strategies have redefined the role of small business in the
informal economy. He is also serving as a member of
his wife’s charity organization, the Haiti's
Children's Relief Project.
